  18. <p>     Have you ever noticed how TV curmudgeons can really step in
  19. it? Last week CBS News suspended 60 Minutes' Andy Rooney, 71,
  20. for three months without pay because of racist remarks in The
  21. Advocate, a gay magazine. Blacks have "watered down their
  22. genes," Rooney was quoted as saying, because less intelligent
  23. ones have the most children. He denies making the statement.
